There were two terrible, disgusting postcards shared on postsecret today. Awful for different reasons, but both upsetting, I thought. However, no one has posted the voting one under tumblr’s postsecret tag yet.
Do people not feel violated by rigged elections or offended at this perpetrator’s display of not merely lack of guilt or shame, but brazen boasting and pride at having completely undermined the democratic process? Rendering who knows how many voters’ voices worthless just because you want something? …Even when they decided en masse that you were the wrong person to receive such a privilege? That is incredibly, despicably selfish, egotistical, and sociopathic.
If I believed in the existence of a hell, it’d be no skin off my back to see both of these humans roasted alive for all eternity.
Here are three comments on the rape postcard that sum up most of my thoughts on it (the remaining ones being was it written by a man or woman and is this creature already a parent? I cannot imagine a parent doing or saying such a thing. But then again, I look at those that cut their gay sons and daughters out of their lives and think the same thing. And yet it still happens much too often.) because I think what’s needed to be said has been by people who’ve done it better than I could’ve.

I find it interesting to think about all the things I’ve done at the same time as everyone else on earth and what’s going on while I’m thinking about it. How many people are having sex, babies, surgery, cereal, or explosive diarrhea at this very moment?

How self-important does one have to be to believe anyone gives a single shit about the stamps on their envelopes?

There’s a common misconception that donating one’s body to science means dissection in an academic setting. In reality, there is a plethora of varied and interesting ways in which cadavers can and do further science.

One of my friends told me he sent a postcard in. Every once in a long while, I’ll see one with handwriting that looks like it could be his and I save it and pretend he penned it.
This is one such card.
